80s Soviet hard-rock from Moscow. The band was founded back in 1975 as FANTAZIA (Fantasy, folk-funk-pop music style), changed name to KOE KTO (Someone, more hard-rock/blues oriented) in 1984 and recorded their debut magnitalbom (Reel-to-Reel) album "The Choice" before changing name to MAGNIT in 1985 and taking on a lot heavier, speedier, neo-classical direction.

GS Productions 2024, European Import

Finally was able to import some of the cult 80s Soviet re-releases a fellow Russian underground label GS Productions has been making recently. The label is doing a great job of not only resurrecting and making available the cult 80s sought-after Soviet classics like MAGNIT, MONOMAKH, KURAZH, etc. but also digging deep into the Soviet underground scene and unearthing some truly unique long-lost gems unknown to but a few initiated. A treasure trove for every 80s underground die-hard fan.
